Association
The Lamont Heritage Association is dedicated to:
-
exploring, recording and sharing the history and heritage of Lamonts and anyone associated with the name;
-
assisting members in their journey of exploration of their Lamont ancestry ;
-
developing an online library of resources and a bibliography of material related to our Lamont cousins, their times and the places where they lived; and,
-
collaborating with related heritage organisations and enterprises.
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Exploring Lamont history and heritage worldwide
In pursuit of these aims we will seek:
-
to develop an active membership to engage with us in meeting our purposes;

to engage with and support members in their family research;
-
to record the lives of our forebears in Wikitree, the global family tree project;
-
to make the relevant work of other history and heritage organisations more accessible;,
-
to support and promote local organisations and enterprises in and around the former clan lands in Argyll.

to promote online educational events in pursuit of the objects of the Association
We are starting out on a journey and look for members of our global famly to join with us in kinship to explore and record the legacy of our ancestors and to contribute to the body of knowledge we leave to our successors.
